Shauna Van Winkle

Shauna was raised near Brock, NE and graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she first started attending FCA. She later reconnected with FCA when she wanted her children to experience the organization at their school, so she helped restart the FCA huddle that had faded out about 15 years earlier.
Shauna’s passion with FCA is helping student-athletes develop their own personal relationship with Christ rather than simply following their parents’ faith, and walking alongside them as that relationship grows. She also loves organizing events that draw athletes in and give them the opportunity to discover this kind of faith for themselves.
Shauna is excited to help other coaches and leaders develop and grow their huddles, allowing them to reach more athletes for Christ. She has seen firsthand how FCA empowers student-athletes to confidently and openly discuss their faith with teammates and friends, furthering the Kingdom of Christ.
Shauna and her husband, Jeff, have three children, Kaden, Kennadee, and Hollyn and live outside of Beatrice, Nebraska. She is a fifth-grade teacher at a nearby school. Shauna is an avid reader, exercise enthusiast, and Husker Volleyball fan. She also loves to travel—especially when it includes hiking in the mountains.
