Tony Ways
Small Colleges Area Representative
Lincoln-Southeast Nebraska
Tony’s path to FCA was somewhat non-conventional given his lack of organized sports history as a player. He was saved in 1990 and has been involved in youth ministry (middle school to college) since then. He was introduced to FCA when asked to speak at a Fields of Faith event while living in Oklahoma in 2014, and a string of events clearly orchestrated by God brought him on staff in 2019.
Tony’s passion is to bring the blessed hope of the Gospel to people who are in hopeless situations, and to encourage them to do the same to those in their sphere of influence.
Tony counts it a privilege to be able to champion the message of the Gospel to any who will listen, and the campuses of Doane, Concordia, and Wesleyan provide plenty of opportunities to do just that. Lives are being eternally changed in these places.
Tony is married and has 4 adult children, one of whom is in heaven after a 4 year battle with cancer. He and his wife Angie are happiest when they’re able to gather with their kids around a meal or on vacation (preferable with beach involved.) Tony has been doing jiu jitsu for a number of years, and could certainly use a lot more practice.
